Every workplace should have an emergency preparedness plan, including necessary supplies in case employees can't get home. Employees also should consider keeping the following personal items on hand.

Change of clothes. Long pants and long-sleeved shirt, sturdy shoes, jacket.

Warm gloves and a blanket

Water (16 oz) and energy bars (3)

First aid kit with CPR face shield. Sign up for first aid training at work or in your community. 

Garbage bags, hand sanitizer, moist towelettes for personal sanitation
