Average weekly wage increases 5.6 percent
The new rate for workers’ comp claim calculations will be $974.20 beginning July 1.

On July 1, the state average weekly wage (AWW) will increase by 5.617 percent to $974.20. It's the highest percentage increase since 1993.
The AWW is used to calculate temporary disability, permanent disability, and fatal benefits related to workers' comp claims.
The maximum statutory rate for temporary total disability claims is $1,295.69.
