Other states coverage update
The flourishing program gets a boost with the addition of a dedicated RTW consultant.
SAIF's other states coverage program (OSC) has continued to flourish in the first half of 2016, with strong results. Our hard work to make sure we have a competitive, yet viable, product is paying off.
We've written almost $1.7 million in new business so far this year, adding a total of 73 new policies. The state with the largest exposure remains California, followed by Idaho, Arizona, Colorado, and Montana.
We continue to look for ways to improve the OSC program. Knowing that time-loss is our biggest cost driver, we're dedicating a SAIF RTW consultant, Tammy Ames, to the OSC program. She's working with Zurich adjusters and our policyholders to assist with the return-to-work process and mitigate time-loss costs. If you have questions, or would like to talk with Tammy about a time-loss situation you have in an OSC claim, feel free to call her at 503.373.8811, or email tamame@saif.com.
Paul Stutz, claims technical analyst, continues his OSC oversight from a claims perspective. He receives notices of all new claims as they are filed with Zurich, and is in contact with the Zurich adjusters on issues like proposed settlements, reserves, and plans of action. You can reach Paul at 503.315.3621, or by email at paustu@saif.com.
Brian Fast, OSC program manager, is available to visit with our agency partners, and policyholders, to discuss the program in more detail. Feel free to contact Brian to schedule a time for him to visit your agency, or call him to give feedback on the OSC program. You can reach Brian at brifas@saif.com, or 503.373.8374.
