SAIF’s annual agriculture safety seminars return for the 27th year
Registration has begun for the 2024-25 season, which runs from November to March.
SAIF’s annual agriculture safety seminars are back! Held in 16 cities across the state, these free trainings will begin in November 2024 and run through March 2025. Ten of the trainings are conducted entirely in Spanish.
Although the seminars are designed for owners, operators, supervisors, and foremen, anyone working in the agricultural industry is welcome to attend. Small agricultural employers attending the seminar will meet one of the four requirements that exempt small ag operations from random OSHA inspections.
Three hours of technical and one hour of business continuing education credits are available from the Landscape Contractors Board. Four regular producer continuing education credit hours for licensed insurance agents are pending approval by the Department of Consumer and Business Services. Also pending approval are two pesticide credits from the Oregon Department of Agriculture.
