We are here to help
Supporting our customers during this time.
COVID-19 has already had a tremendous impact on our customers and communities, and, like you, we are concerned about the short- and long-term effects on Oregon businesses and workers. As you determine how to move your business forward through this challenge, we want you to know SAIF is here to be a resource for you.
SAIF is a safety and health company. We take this threat seriously and have taken several measures to ensure the safety of our employees and customers across the state. To that end:
- We have canceled all external events for the next several weeks, including employer trainings and Agricultural Safety Seminars.
- We are suspending most field visits for several weeks. We will use phones, email, and video technology to work with you, maintain relationships, and provide services.
- Finally, we have asked all SAIF employees who can telecommute to do so full-time, and we are strictly limiting the number of employees at our office locations to encourage social distancing. This is a big change for our collaborative workforce, but we are determined to manage this change proactively to reduce the impact on our customers.
The main thing we want you to know is we are open for business. It might look a little different, but we are determined to serve you at the highest level. We are processing claims, mailing checks to injured workers, and taking your calls from home offices all over the state.
We know you have questions about workers’ compensation. This article, Coronavirus and workers’ compensation, has basic information about safety and health, compensability, and other issues.
We also know some of your questions will be more complex or specific than we can provide in a general article. Please reach out to us with those questions, and we’ll help you find answers. You can call 800.285.8525 for more information.
