Black Futures Farm
Black Futures Farm is both a community-building and production farm focused on growing meaningful relationships.
“The minute I touched the soil, I started healing. My mind went quiet,” says Malcolm Hoover, who co-founded Black Futures Farm with his wife, Mirabai Collins, under the Black Food Sovereignty Coalition.
With over an acre of land on the grounds of Learning Gardens Lab in southeast Portland, Black Futures Farm donates all food—from pears and persimmons to kale and collard greens—to the community it seeks to serve and empower.
