For more than 37 years, La Margarita has served authentic Mexican cuisine. Owners Xochitl and Javier Muñoz took over operations in 2012, when Xochitl’s father, Pedro Rosales, retired.
The restaurant had to lay off most of its workers at the start of the pandemic and shifted to exclusively offering takeout. Since then, they’ve been able to rehire most of their workers and resume indoor service. But, with state workers still working remotely, it is much slower than it used to be.
Restaurant owners must work hard to get through this uncertain time, Javier says. Loyal staff, faithful customers, and great food have helped the restaurant endure.
