From its inception, the Portland Garment Factory has defied industry norms.
Founder and creative director Britt Howard started this B-Corp in response to Portland’s lack of a garment district. She aimed to fill that void while also pushing the textile industry toward a more sustainable future through social and environmental initiatives, including zero-waste manufacturing. Today, PGF’s client base ranges from independent artists and designers to internationally recognized agencies and brands. They offer everything from custom wearables and interior fixtures to art fabrication and one-off constructions.
