SAIF is Oregon’s not-for-profit workers’ compensation provider.
Workers’ compensation insurance (often called “workers’ comp”) provides benefits for workers who are injured as a result of their work. By law, Oregon employers must carry workers' compensation insurance or be self-insured. Workers’ compensation insurance protects workers by paying for medical treatment and lost wages, and it protects employers by shielding them from liability lawsuits that might result from work-related injuries or illnesses.

Jessica Jack, Regional Operations Director
Jessica’s positive energy and people-centered customer experience approach have driven her career. Since 2012, she’s been serving SAIF’s policyholders in various capacities, including as a bilingual claims adjuster, return-to-work supervisor, and most recently as SAIF’s diversity, equity, and inclusion business partner. Before SAIF, Jessica worked in local and international non-profit organizations based in Portland.
Jessica is a returned Peace Corps volunteer with a bachelor's degree in political science, and she holds certifications in organizational development, human-centered strategy, psychological safety, and change management. She is a certified Claims Examiner and has her Oregon property and casualty insurance license. She also served as chair and special committee member for the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds in 2023 and 2024. She currently lives in Milwaukie with her partner and two young boys.
