Pay it forward. That’s the idea behind every home that Habitat for Humanity builds.
In Newberg, and around the globe, community volunteers partner with low-income families to build decent, affordable housing that otherwise would be out of reach. New homeowners pay it back with a 30-year, no-interest mortgage. They also pay it forward by contributing at least 500 hours of sweat equity to build their own home and those of others in the community.
At Habitat’s ReStore, proceeds from the sale of donated furniture, appliances, and materials go right back into building more houses. And that’s helping build a brighter future for generations to come.
