Ag safety seminars coming to a computer near you
SAIF is offering the seminars for free online in four separate webinars.
Did you miss our ag safety seminars this year? Fear not. For the first time SAIF is offering the seminars for free online in four separate webinars on March 12, 14, 19, and 21.
Our ag safety seminars are designed for people working in agriculture, but are open to anyone interested in ag safety and health. SAIF has provided these seminars for free in cities across Oregon for more than 20 years. Each year speakers focus on different safety and health issues that owners, managers, and workers face while in the shop, on the road, or out in the fields. Additionally, by attending a seminar, small agricultural employers meet one of the four requirements that exempt small ag operations from random OSHA inspections. For more information on the seminars and this year's schedule for English and Spanish sessions, visit saif.com/agseminars.
While we love meeting attendees face-to-face and seeing them return to their local sessions every year, we know stuff comes up. That's why our live webinars are perfect for busy employers and workers.
Since the webinars are live, registration is required. You can register for each session individually.
Here's the schedule for our live webinars:
- Getting new employees on board for safety
Tuesday, March 12, 9:30-10:30 a.m. - Chemical safety in agriculture
Thursday, March 14, 9:30-10:30 a.m. - Fields to freeways: Driving safety on and off the farm
Tuesday, March 19, 9:30-10:30 a.m. - Conscious decisions mean safer work
Thursday, March 21, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Please note that you need to watch all four live webinars to meet one of the requirements for an exemption from random OSHA inspections and receive the agent regular continuing education credit.
These sessions will be recorded and available on saif.com later. You can also find an on-demand ag seminar course (no credits available) at saif.com/agseminars.
