Medical
SAIF offers two medical plan choices for employees: Providence Health Plan and Kaiser Permanente HMO. These plans have been designed to offer you and your family quality, comprehensive, and affordable health and wellness benefits.
Providence Health Plan
Our Providence PPO plan maintains a national network of health care providers and hospitals to help you meet your health goals, as well as providing access to care whether at home or traveling. Plan participants pay less out of pocket when they visit in-network healthcare providers and are also able to see providers who are not contracted with Providence (out-of-network providers) at a higher cost.
If you are new to SAIF and need to transition your medical care to Providence, call Providence’s Bridge Team at 971.268.5311 to schedule a time to talk with someone about getting your medical records transferred, refilling prescriptions, finding a medical provider, scheduling virtual visits, and more.

Kaiser Permanente Plan
Our Kaiser HMO plan offers health care coverage to employees and their eligible family members who live or work in the Kaiser service area (Southwest Washington, Portland, Salem, and Eugene metro areas). Plan participants must go to Kaiser-contracted providers to receive medical care and services. You still have access to emergency care through Kaiser if you travel out of area.
