Other Medical Coverage Inquiry

SAIF charges a monthly premium for spouse or domestic partner coverage if they are enrolling in SAIF’s medical plan as a secondary plan, or in lieu of their employer’s plan.

When you enroll in one of the SAIF-sponsored medical plans you must answer the Required: Other Medical Coverage Inquiry question in Workday during the enrollment process. This will determine the monthly premium share. The monthly premium share does not apply to the dental or vision plans.

The following statements determine the monthly premium share cost. If you have a qualifying life event during the year, you may update the statement selected, which would adjust the premium cost. You must make this change in Workday within 30 days of the qualifying life event date.
